Back in January this year, Wired Strings began working with Universal signing, Clare Maguire and hit producer, Fraser T Smith. They initially collaborated on three tracks, with string arrangements written by Rosie Danvers ( Kanye West, Oasis, Jay- Z) and recorded by Wired Strings at Metropolis Studios, London. All three tracks were intensely powerful, driven ballads, all showcasing Maguire's stunning voice. The blend of powerful vocals, lush strings and beats became the inspiration for further collaborations. They embarked on 2 more tracks in a similar style before taking a break to work on other projects.

Coming back together in May, they completed 5 more tracks. The strings were recorded at London's Angel Studios. One such track was recorded fully live, with Clare accompanied by live strings. This particular song had a hymn - like quality and Angel Studios, once a church, could not have been a more poignant backdrop.
